151 - Gladiator (The Phantom)

This is one of my most favorite Phantom story, mainly because it is a little unusual for a Phantom Script.

@Rahul - Dear, you are always a pleasure to read...

@Chandan - Buddy, you are no stranger, if you love comics just like me...

@Colonel - Same here, I also consider it one of the best stories of the ghost who walks...Thanks

Dear Anu, It seems four pages (page 9-12) are missing in the other phantom story (The Girls). Looks like scanning problem but please check. Now I am looking for an Indrajal Flash Gordon. Any flash story between IJC #300 and #400 will do. Thanks again for the great work.

Anupam, are you a mind reader?? I was just planning to request for these 2 great comics from my childhood and you posted exactly the same. Thanks a million. Keep up the great work.

Anupam on 22 October 2007 at 15:47 said...

@TPH - I too think that some pages are missing, after page no.08, it take an abrupt jump. Though considering the 16 page format of the earliest Indrajals, I think 1-2 pages are do missing. May be the gap can be filled later...

@Chatur Cheeta - GREAT NAME BUDDY. I wish i can read mind. Sometimes great co-incidence happens, and this is one example that request of the others tallied with urs. Its great that you enjoyed tham...

the gap cant be filled anu, as these are scans of misraji, so he has to scan them again

Dear Anu,I know its very greedy of me to demand more and more. But can't resist it.I hope its OK with you.I just love Phantom and Mandrake .
You once said that you have many old Indrajal comics. If you could just give us a clue ,then we can request accordingly. It was heartening to see you post so many in the last few days. Thanks infinite.
Can you post,
no 141 Gangster's Graveyard
no 143 The Missing Daddy
no 78--Kidnappers
no-97--Tiger Girl
Iam sure all will love the above.
No hurry,Dear Anu.I have said this before. It becomes very easy for us to sit and to request, its very important to see the other side also.So if you can't,no issues.
Its a humble request from a equally humble viewer.
By the way,Sagnik, where are you?No comments for a long time.I think some of your prized comic requests are posted here on this cherished blog.

By the way,Dr.Gokhale,Phantom Weds has been posted on TCP sometime back.I have given some interesting comics list in my last comment,if Dear Anu can post those then we will be eternally very grateful .I think your other choice is same as Legend of Durugu comic--no 87 Indrajal which is also yet to be posted on any blog.
Hats off--Dear Anu for entertaining us.

Anupam on 22 October 2007 at 21:43 said...

@Rahul - Dear, its not greed. Its the love for comics. I know I have some request pending, and they will be posted if only i have them in the given time.

Would check for the other request, hopefully they will be posted soon...

And 'Royal Wedding' is posted. Oops, I just uploaded it. No problem...

Anupam on 22 October 2007 at 21:45 said...

@Indrajal Comic Club - Never said I scanned them. All the Indrajals I am posting in the last few days are scanned By ajay and delivered to me by Vikram...

Why the gap can't be fulfilled. Either Misraji or someone can come up with the missing pages, though it will take time, but i hope eventually it will be...

Indrajal Comics Club on 23 October 2007 at 06:51 said...

anu: u misunderstood me dear, i never said that u did not give credit to the right person,,everybody is using misraji's scans including me, what i said is the gap cant be filled because even misraji does not own these wonderful gems, he has borrowed from vinneth( see the article on vineeth at icc) long back and scanned them, so again he has to borrow them and scan the missing pages, which is very unlikely, but i have all the strips, so i can send u the missing pages,

no offense hard feelings misunderstanding please...

Hi Rahul
No I dont think the Royal Wedding is about Phantom's marriage. If memory serves me right, its a Llongo ans Wambesi prines marrying their GF's and Phantom acting as a 'best man'. I recall seeing the cover of that issue on one of the sites. I dont think this comic has been posted yet but will check it out.
