232 (1975) Rescue Mission Mercury

This IJC contains 2 Flash Gorndon strips by Artist Dan Barry:

1. S-122: "Mercury Station" (9/24/72 to 12/3/72)
IJC title: "Rescue Mission: Mercury"

Summary: Bringing the first civilian visitors to Mercury's metal mining plants ever, Flash touches down on the bright side of the planet in the company of businessmen eager to assess how well their investments are doing.
Exposed to the extremely demanding conditions amid the hot planet’s furnaces, Flash and his guests struggle to keep pace with the Mercury-hardened mining specialists – but that will soon prove to be the least of their problems...

2. S126 - "Ivo" (8/26/73 to 11/11/73)
IJC title: "The Atomic Giant"
Summary: Out tagging bears in the Alaskan tundra with Zarkov and Kenoma, Flash tracks one of the animals to a cave as Kenoma decides to explore one of the inner crevices.

Suddenly alerted to Kenoma’s calls for help, Flash and Zarkov end up in an underground river and follow it to an abandoned atomic sub-base, where two horrific surprises lie in wait...
