    Nice scans as usual..

I have always found your scans far better than others' to read, on this blog. alignment is upto the mark and most important, colors are very soothing to eyes. The word "others' " inludes me also.

  3. That was a nice story.I remember, this was among 12 titles that ToI offered to readers as a 'gift-pack' if they go for yearly subscription! :o)) That was quite a lucartive offer imho and some covers attracted my interest incld. this, when I found that ad in 2006.
PS - A bit off-topic,but I wonder like Ijc,do anybody have a collection of ToI's mid '80s series : Spectrum Comics??? I never saw a single physical issue/scan and neither have any idea how long they survived(I guess they stopped even before Indrajal!). Some characters were interesting like Spiderman,Modesty etc.!

    Two things :
This story also came out as S177 - The Cloud. I found that out when I tried to get some strips of S176 & S177 for Magnus. What I saw was surprising. Many of the same strips from the daily strips were repeated in the Sunday story. But the dates inside the boxes were changed. The S176 was a repeat of the Mandrake marriages in a similar manner.

Regarding the Spectrum comics, I had mentioned about my collection of nearly 20 comics in a post in Maverick's blog. They had a glossier look than IJC, but did not last long. They had a wide range of characters like Juliet Jones, Modesty Blaise, Spiderman, Dennis The Menace et al.

  5. I think as Falk practically stopped after Speedy(S175),so before Fred took the complete charge on scripting, they repeat some stories from the dailies(like they did with FG many time).Same happened with S178 & S179 aswell, these 2 are reprint of 2 more '80s dailies, probably published in Indrajal V22 N29 & V23 N7 .We got some original Fredrick's stories from S180 only!i wish he would penned some more sundays...anyway...

About Spectrum, then can you mention the dates of 1st & last issues,if you have?? It's interesting that ToI prefered another series to publish these characters than in Indrajal itself!! (yes,Dennis cudn't be the title-character rather a pin-up series like henry,Timpa etc etc but others would easily fit in the universe....much better than Garth,Buz etc)

  13. I was curious if you ever thought of changing the
page layout of your blog? Its very well written; I love what
youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of
content so people could connect with it better. Youve got
an awful lot of text for only having 1 or two images.
Maybe you could space it out better?

I have heard fantastic things about blogengine.
