The story: Determined to reach the jungle’s edge to summon the Phantom, a girl escapes from hospital dressed only in a bikini and sandals. The latter is prepared, thanks to radio reports warning the public of an escaped patient suffering from bubonic plague.

With the girl safely in the Deep Woods, the Phantom learns that her father is missing after returning to Bengali to clear his name back in the States. Determined to find who is lying and who is telling the truth, the Phantom starts to trawl through a web of deceit that brings him nearer to the violent, disturbing truth...

There are pages 2,31 & 32 missing. The cover is added from older version by Venkitachalam Subramanian who scanned & edited & uploaded it.

Summary: A number of daring plane hijackings are so puzzling the authorities that the Phantom, on a visit to Diana, asks Dave Palmer for an introduction to Planet Airways, who have had no less than six planes hijacked.

It soon becomes clear that the planes are in the possession of Prince Charl of the Highlands, or 'The Cheap' as he is called due to his obsession with bargains. His new scheme is charging 1 million dollars per month in ‘plane parking fees’. The Phantom wastes no time in heading for the Highlands, where things are about to turn nasty...

145 (1971) The Secret Mission

It's D109 - Luaga's Undercover Tour (20 Apr 1970    25 Jul 1970) by Falk- Barry.

 

The story: The Jungle Patrol’s secret Commander orders the Captain Smyhte and Lt. Baranda to accompany President Luaga on a tour of the border villages, where an undercover "Doc" Luaga is to pose as a tourist and collect data on real conditions.

This sounds like potential trouble, and it is. The trio have to fight their way out of a number of tight spots as Luaga keeps talking into his camera/tape recorder, and they seem to have finally met their match when they walk straight into a town full of bandits and a carefully prepared trap...

It's D68 - The Crown Jewels of Corba  ( 23 Sep 1957 - 21 Dec 1957) by Falk& McCoy.

Corba is a beautiful place famous for its royal diamond collection. Marston ,a diamond expert is eager to see them. He arrives in Corba with his daughter and rushes off to see the collection. After examining the diamonds he he declares them to be fake. Suddenly all hell breaks loose. Marston disappears. His daughter tries to find him but everyone in Corba seems against her. One friendly person advices her to seek Phantom's help. What happenes then ? Read the comics  for the surprise and unexpected end. Hoping you'll like this comics.

Summary: The Highland have never been admirers of the Phantom’s, and this hatred of The Ghost Who Walks has intensified further with the introduction of new laws banning hunting, slave trading and punitive taxing of the jungle tribes. Something needs to be done, and prince Kukhan sees himself as the man to deliver.

The prince sets an elaborate scheme into action involving four cruelly trained female lions that are released in the jungle to spread chaos and destruction and to attract the Phantom to the prince’s palace, where more deadly surprises lie in wait...

2. The Jungle Hospital

When the witch doctors fail to expel Dr. Axel by employing voodoo, they resort to more hands-on approaches, prompting a journalist visiting the hospital to slip away and summon the Phantom, but she strays too near Mt. Weerd. Time is running out fast ....

The story: Colonel Worobu of the Jungle Patrol requests advice from his unknown Commander when the famous anthropologist Dr. Weeber and his daughter go missing in the Misty Mountains whilst on the verge of a "fantastic discovery".

Taking over the case, the Phantom catches up with the lost pair, completely unaware that he soon will be standing face to face with a phenomenon an injured Dr. Weeber calls "a link between ape and man"...

Note: It's first Sunday Strips in which Col Worobu appeared, however very firt time we meet with him in D106 - Rex, The Missing Heir (23 Jun 1969 -   4 Oct 1969).

 It's a cover to cover, but a fixed version. Scanned by Venkitachalam Subramanian.

Fixing panels and recovering first line of texts (almost every page, which were cut while binding) took some days. Hoping you'll enjoy as usual scan. :)

Following a harrowing trail of death and destruction, a troubled Phantom soon catches up with his prey and is forced to engage in combat with one of the most awsome adversaries he has ever faced and whose life story beggars belief...

The story: After a long stay & batttling against  organised crime in the States (check D096 The Satchel  (IJC-101); D097 The Crime School (IJC-134); and D098 Deadman's Point (IJC-141);  the Phantom returns the Deepwoods.

But his homecoming is not a happy one: ruthless hunters are indiscriminately killing and capturing animals, and a wounded Joomba (Rex' pet elephant) is terrorising the whole jungle. The Phantom must confront a berserk Joomba alone with little hope of sparing the latter’s life...
