This post is dedicated to TCP who, 5 years ago on 17th April 2005 posted very first time an Indrajal Comic on the blogoshpere. TCP runs The Comic Project with 5 years of wonderful spans.

Indrajal #10, "The Phantom's Ring" , in Hindi and English. Hindi scans provided by Ajay Mishra & cleaned by PBC. English scans provided by Mr. Walker, with additional cleanup by PBC and myself.

Almost 9 months have passed since last missing English Indrajal came online, However we are still receiving mails to provide links. Well, here comes a universal blog for Indrajal Comics.

We 18 persons are starting a blog with our own posts/scans which every can say proudly, “It’s our blog” – no matter whether he posted/scanned one or hundreds.

In the world cup, we are participating with not only 18 players (the Authors), but 18 of the supporting team (the Contributors) also. Some are playing both roles.

Today we are starting with 450+ English & 106 Hindi, however these are not all posts/scans by our team – very soon 700+ English & more Hindi can be downloaded from here. There are also plans for other languages. Marathi is confirmed, others we will try.

Is it limit? No. Still 82 player seats and unlimited supporting seats are vacant.

Will we win the cup? The participation is more important, the fair play is more important. We are going to make a blog for all Indrajal Comics friendly. Very soon some more blogs may join. All scans by members are coming very soon. Rest we’ll scan ourselves. We were already improving versions. So sky's the limit (Oh well it is limited by number of Indrajals published unfortunately :)).

To mark the occassion we are posting high quality version of two Indrajals.

First one is English IJC 355 - Infuriated Ghost. Scanned and cleaned by IUnknown. This was scanned by him in year 2004 for testing his scanner which he bought as a alternative of digital camera which was quiet expensive then :). Cover pages added recently. Illustrations in this comics are simply beautiful, Phatom and Diana never looked better. Story is also very good.

Second one is Hindi IJC 32 Oogooru Oogooru. Originally it was Gold Key # 4 which was published in Aug 1963. It has two stories of Phatom.

It's my 1st post at THE RETURN OF INDRAJAL COMICS!!!

Few weeks ago, when I was searching this Indrajal in English Mr. Walker had promised to send me instead of posting at his own blog which he was planning to launch, this one, and sent me this Indrajal Comics. Thanks, buddy!

As he is busy with his exams, I decided to post this one at his blog, not mine, to encourage this selfless Youngman. Our goal was to collect all Indrajal, not posting all in own blog. There are limited blogs, visitors can take a look. Isn’t it?

I’m hoping, he’ll play very important role in 2nd round posting Indrajal Comics – for me, it’s not reposting old scans, but new, better and complete version. Most of us know that there are several Indrajal which need rescanning.

It's first Indrajal Comics scanned by 'Mr. Walker'. I'm glad to find out, the show is going on. We are near to complete collection and second round of Indrajal Posting already started, better versions are coming online.

At present in the collection of this fan, there are approx 640 Indrajal Comics. Hoping someday he’ll have all 803 Indrajal Comics.

Let friendship, harmony, selflessness, love and honour for each other - win.

My 1st Indrajal Comics post Part 1

Indrajal Comics was a series launched by the publisher of The Times of India, Bennet, Coleman & Co in March 1964.

A total of 803 Indrajal Comics were published, excluding #123 and #124 which were not printed due to industrial strike action.

Each issue was individually numbered until 2 Jan 1983 when the editors decided to use a volume and number typical of periodical publications. Hence, #444 was identified as Vol.20 No.1

The last issue was #805 (Vol 27 No 8) Dara: The Jaws of Treachery (1990).

Heroes of Indrajal Comics: These appeared as 1st story, some Indrjal had more than story, those 2nd stories are not counted in this data.

1. The Phantom: Total 402 (Including all reprinted versions)- First issue #1 (1964), Last issue #V27N06 (1990).

2. Zorro: Total 1- Issue #37

3. Mickey Mouse: Total 2 - First issue #42 (1967), Last issue #44 (1967).

4. Mandrake: Total 153 (Including all reprinted versions)- First issue #46 (1967), Last issue #V27N07 (1990).

5. Flash Gordon: Total 57- First issue #72 (1968), Last issue #V26N32 (1989).

6. Bahadur: Total 75- First issue #267 (1976), Last issue #V27N05 (1990).

7. Buz Sawyer: Total 11- First issue #377 (1981), Last issue #V20N23 (1983).

8. Lt. Drake: Total 18 - First issue #379 (1981), Last issue #V22N24 (1985).

9. Mike Nomad: Total 7 - First issue #383 (1981), Last issue #V20N35 (1983).

10. Rip Kirby: Total 15 - First issue #399 (1982), Last issue #V26N29 (1989).

11. Garth: Total 14 - First issue #420 (1982), Last issue #V26N27 (1989).

12. Bruce Lee: Total 4 - First issue #V21N14 (1984), Last issue #V21N45 (1984).

13. Phil Corrigan: Total 11- First issue #V21N21 (1984), Last issue #V24N13 (1987).

14. Aditya: Total 3- First issue #V24N28 (1987), Last issue #V25N05 (1988).

15. Dara: Total 8 - First issue #V25N43 (1988), Last issue #V27N08 (1990) –IT WAS LAST IJC.

16. Miscellaneous: Total 22 comics were published: - First issue #33 (1966), Last issue #368 (1981).

Note:

1. With all above-mentioned comics, 22 miscellaneous comics were published: - First issue #33 (1966), Last issue #368 (1981).

2. I had counted the numbers of total comics by a hero - main tittle only. To find out exact quantity, one must check 2nd stories also. Many times the front covers were printed without any information about 2nd story hero. Many stories were printed in 2 or 3 parts also.

Unfortunately, the scans are not of a high quality and if someone has this physical copy a better version of the scans can be made available at a later time.
